In a landmark address to the 81st United Nations General Assembly high-level debate, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung issued a sweeping proposal to dismantle decades of hostility on the Korean Peninsula. Extending a bold olive branch to Pyongyang, Lee laid out three blueprints for peaceful coexistence and urged world leaders to support an immediate end to the decades-old war.
"We will continue to respect the North on the international stage and seek cooperation wherever possible," President Lee declared to assembled delegates. Backing renewed dialogue between Washington and Pyongyang, Lee pushed for U.S. sanctions relief in exchange for a freeze on Kim Jong Un’s nuclear and missile development. Unveiling Seoul’s visionary "K-Initiative," Lee also championed global standards for artificial intelligence and pledged strong international leadership to protect vital energy supply routes from global blockades.
